Dental chamber software in Bangladesh: tooth chart, treatment plans and billing per tooth
Quick answer

Dental chamber software keeps each patient's tooth chart, treatments and payments in one record. The dentist marks teeth on an FDI chart, adds procedures for each tooth, and the ones done today go straight on the bill while planned ones print as a treatment plan with cost. Hospify Pro's dental chamber does this for Tk 999 a month$19 a month, with serial booking for up to three chambers and a 14-day free trial.

A dental chamber is not a general chamber with a different signboard. A general physician writes a diagnosis and medicines. A dentist works on individual teeth, over several sittings, with a price for every procedure and a plan the patient has to agree to and pay for over weeks or months.

That is why most general “doctor software” frustrates dentists. The prescription has no place for the teeth. Procedures are typed again at the counter. The treatment plan lives on a separate sheet of paper, and nobody remembers which tooth was done last time.

This guide explains what dental chamber software should do, how a chamber day changes, and what it costs.

What dental chamber software does

Good dental software puts five things together in one patient record:

  1. A tooth chart that shows the state of every tooth and carries over to the next visit.
  2. Procedures per tooth, with your price list, so the bill builds itself.
  3. A treatment plan with the cost of each planned procedure, printed for the patient.
  4. Sittings, so a root canal or braces treatment is followed from start to finish.
  5. The usual chamber tools: serials, prescriptions on your letterhead, reminders and collections.

The problems it solves

Lost tooth history. A patient comes back after six months. Which tooth had the filling? Was the root canal finished? On paper, the answer is in a file somewhere. In software, the chart opens as you left it.

Billing mistakes. The dentist does an X-ray and a root canal on tooth 21, but the assistant bills only the root canal. When procedures done in the chair go on the bill automatically, nothing is missed and nothing is typed twice.

Patients who stop halfway. A root canal without the crown, braces without the follow-ups. A printed plan with the cost of each step, and SMS reminders before each sitting, bring more patients back to finish the treatment.

Unclear estimates. “How much will it all cost?” is the first question after the examination. A treatment plan with prices answers it before the patient leaves the chair.

What to look for

1. The tooth chart on the prescription screen

The chart should be part of the prescription, not a separate module you open and close. Tap a tooth and mark it: caries, filled, root canal, crown, implant, to extract or missing. It should use the FDI numbering your patients’ X-rays and referral letters use, and save to the patient’s record for the next visit.

2. Procedures per tooth that go on the bill

With a tooth selected, you add the procedure (Dental X-ray (IOPA), composite filling, root canal treatment (molar), metal crown…) and it is recorded against that tooth. Each one is either done today or planned:

  • Done today goes on the patient’s bill when you finish. Your assistant only takes the money.
  • Planned prints on the prescription as the treatment plan, with the price.

3. A printed plan the patient understands

The patient should leave with one sheet: the medicines in Bangla, a small tooth chart, what was done today, the treatment plan with cost, and the next sitting, for example RCT sitting 2 — obturation.

4. Advice that fits dentistry

After an extraction, the patient needs the same advice every time: bite on the cotton, no rinsing or hot food for 24 hours, warm salt water from the next day. Software that suggests ready advice in Bangla for the diagnosis saves writing it again for every patient.

5. Serials for more than one chamber

Many dentists sit in their own chamber in the morning and a dental centre in the evening. One account should cover all of them, with separate serials and collection for each, and one record for the patient.

6. It works offline

Load-shedding and weak internet should not stop the chair. Look for software that keeps working offline and syncs when the connection is back. See how Hospify Pro offline mode works.

7. Room to grow into a dental clinic

When you add a second dentist or open a dental clinic, the same records should move with you. Hospify Pro’s chamber upgrades to the Clinic plan, and a hospital’s dental department gets the same tooth chart for every dentist in it.

A day in a dental chamber, before and after

Before: The assistant writes serials in a notebook. You examine the patient, sketch the teeth on the back of the prescription, and write “RCT 21, crown later” in the file. The assistant asks what to charge. The patient asks how much the crown will cost and you work it out on a calculator. Two months later the patient comes back and nobody can find the sketch.

After: The patient books a serial online and gets an SMS. You open their record and see last visit’s chart: 21 is marked for a root canal. You add the X-ray and the root canal as done today and the crown as planned. The bill is ready at the counter. The patient takes home a prescription with the chart, the cost of the crown and the date of the next sitting, and a reminder arrives the day before.

Frequently asked questions

What is the best dental software for a chamber in Bangladesh?

Look for a tooth chart on the prescription screen itself, procedures per tooth that go on the bill without retyping, a printed treatment plan with cost, Bangla instructions, serial booking for more than one chamber, and offline working. Try it with real patients for at least a week before deciding.

Does the tooth chart use FDI numbering?

Hospify Pro uses the FDI two-digit system: 11 to 18 and 21 to 28 on top, 31 to 38 and 41 to 48 below. Each tooth can be marked healthy, caries, filled, root canal, crown, implant, to extract or missing.

Can I track a root canal over several sittings?

Yes. The chart and planned work stay on the patient's dental record. Each sitting you add what you did that day, and the prescription prints the next sitting, for example “RCT sitting 2 — obturation”.

How much does dental chamber software cost?

Hospify Pro's dental chamber is on the Chamber plan: Tk 999 a month$19 a month, or Tk 9,990 a year$190 a year. SMS and WhatsApp credits are bought separately, from Tk 1from $0.015 per message.

Can I try it before signing up?

Yes. The live dental demo at dental.hospify.pro has three months of sample patients, tooth charts and treatment plans. No password is needed.
